FREE HEART SCREENINGS

To date, more than 1,600 women have received a free heart screening, fully funded by 2 BigHearts. Our rigorous testing includes a resting echocardiogram, which can detect silent heart conditions. Under current health care industry policy, such level of testing is only given to people with symptoms. As Gigi and Sally’s story prove, as well as our statistical data, you don’t have to be experiencing symptoms for heart disease to be present.

In fact, the statistical findings from our screenings have been so compelling that the data has even been presented to the American Heart Association by our partner, Rush Hospital.

Of the more than 1,600 women screened, our results include:

• 1 in 10 women have an abnormal echocardiogram (An astonishing 10%)
• 1 in 4 have an abnormal EKG (28%)
• 1 in 2 are overweight (44 % overweight, 33% obese)
• 1 in 5 have high glucose (17%)
• 1 in 3 have high blood pressure (30%)
• 6 in 10 have high cholesterol (60%)
• 1 in 5 have high triglycerides (17%)
